2000 Puppies!

for

You have been alive for 2,000 days.
That is a LOT of days!

So here are 2,000 puppies. One for every single day. Every puppy has a name, and every puppy is yours.

For grown-ups

Birthday Days to celebrate

The puppies are numbered by day: puppy #1 is the day she was born, puppy #2000 is day 2,000. Set the birthday so each puppy shows its real date. For a friend who is a different number of days old, change the days (up to 2,600, about 7 years) and the page reloads with that many puppies. Everything is saved on this device. A link works too: ?name=Ada&days=1846 for a fixed number, or ?name=Ada&birthday=2021-09-05 to count the days from that birthday to today.

How to play

🌍 Far away, the puppies are tiny dots. Wave your finger or mouse through them to shoo them!
🔍 Zoom in with two fingers, the scroll wheel, or the ➕ button to get close.
✋ Up close, tap a puppy to pet it. Drag on the grass to look around.
📣 Call: press and hold, and the puppies come running.
🎁 Play: pick a 🦴 Treat (tap to drop one), or the 🎾 Ball (tap to throw, a puppy fetches it back).
🎤 Party: pick a kind of music and tap the grass to build a stage. Tap the stage to call up a puppy to play each instrument. The more players, the bigger the crowd! Try 🌞 Major and 🌧️ Minor to hear the same song happy and sad.
Commands: tap a puppy, then press Sit, Lie down, Roll over or Beg on its card.
✨ Surprise: watch all 2,000 puppies make a shape.
Puppies sometimes need a potty break. Mind the flies. 🪰
The little map in the corner shows all 2,000 puppies. Tap it to jump there.

How big is 2,000?

If you pet one puppy every second and never stop, it takes 33 minutes to pet them all.
2,000 puppies nose to tail would be as long as 8 football fields.
2,000 days is more than 5 years. And you lived every one of them!
